Arbor Day

Join us on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. - noon for a community tree planting, celebrating Arbor Day. Trees play an important role in keeping us healthy! Trees can:
- improve air quality,
- reduce the impacts of climate change and keep our city cooler,
- conserve biodiversity,
- provide habitat for wildlife, and
- improve our physical and mental health!
Staff is still finalizing the details and the event location will be posted later this spring.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear (layers, closed toe shoes). If possible, please bring a shovel, bucket to move mulch and gardening gloves. Limited supplies will be available for those who can't bring their own.
Volunteers can take a tree to plant at their home.
Volunteer Opportunities
Our events, attracting thousands annually, rely on partners, sponsors, and volunteers. As a volunteer, have fun, meet new friends, earn hours, and make a community impact. Volunteer for one event or multiple, based on your interests and schedule.
