Arbor Day

Planting saplings

Join us on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for a community tree planting, celebrating Arbor Day. Trees play an important role in keeping us healthy! Trees can:

  • improve air quality,
  • reduce the impacts of climate change and keep our city cooler,
  • conserve biodiversity,
  • provide habitat for wildlife, and
  • improve our physical and mental health!

This year's tree planting will take place at Kintrea Park on Sales Drive near Crawford Crescent. Street parking is available along Sales Drive.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear (layers, closed toe shoes). If possible, please bring a shovel, bucket to move mulch and gardening gloves. Limited supplies will be available for those who can't bring their own.

Refreshments will be provided and volunteers can also take a tree to plant at home.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our events, attracting thousands annually, rely on partners, sponsors, and volunteers. As a volunteer, have fun, meet new friends, earn hours, and make a community impact. Volunteer for one event or multiple, based on your interests and schedule.
