Whether you're new to the City, opening a business, moving or doing some digging it's important to know who your utilities contacts are.

In addition to obtaining the proper building permits, it's your responsibility to get all the proper utility locates before you break ground and it's the law. Protect yourself and your loved ones from serious injuries, avoid causing a power outage in your neighbourhood, and prevent costly repairs or damages to your property.

Contact Ontario One Call to request a free locate a minimum of one week prior to your start date to ensure you get all the proper information before you dig. Spring and summer time are busy seasons and this short turn around time may mean you may not get all your locates, so be sure to give yourself and Ontario One Call plenty of time to schedule your locates.

Excavation Permits - if you are digging on the city-right-of-way you will require an excavation permit.  Call 519-539-2382 ext. 3114 for more information.
