Previous Opportunities

Strategic Plan Priorities

On March 30, Council held a Strategic Plan Realignment Workshop to review the objectives and actions within the current Strategic Plan and understand what has been accomplished to date. They discussed and identified new actions that the City should undertake before identify priority actions they want to address over this term of Council. The public was then invited to provide input about these priorities between May 1-22. Staff is now compiling the results of the public input which will be provided to Council so they can approve the list of priority action items to help achieve the goals of the strategic plan.

Asset Management Survey - Part 2

The City asked for input from the public to help inform the development of our long-term asset management plan. In November 2022, we asked for feedback about our core assets and the most recent consultation was looking for input about our non-core assets (e.g., administrative and recreational facilities). Staff is compiling the results of the feedback which will be posted here once complete.

Draft Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act 2005 (AODA), municipalities are required to establish, implement, maintain and document a multi-year accessibility plan that outlines our strategy to prevent and remove barriers for persons living with disabilities in our community. The draft of the 2023-2027 Multi-year Accessibility Plan was available for review and comment from the public. The input received has been provided to the appropriate City departments and the plan is going to Council for approval on May 18, 2023.
