Woodstock Public Library

Purpose

The Woodstock Public Library Board was established under provincial legislation and is responsible for the management and control of the Library. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Determining and adopting written policies to govern the operation and programs of the library
• Determining the goals of the library and securing adequate funds to fulfill these goals
• Understanding the library's programs and the needs of the community in relation to the library
• Establishing support and participating in planned public relations programs
• Preparing a budget adequate to carry out the library's goals and objectives and presenting it to municipal council.

The Woodstock Public Library Board is made up of the following Citizen and Council representatives. Members remain on the board for the duration of the current Council term of office.

Meetings

Committee meetings are held at Woodstock Public Library. The committee meets once a month except in July and August at a regular date and time mutually agreed upon by a majority of the members. Visit the Library's website for more information.
