Woodstock is celebrating its 72nd Victoria Day weekend.  World’s Finest Shows will be kicking off this year's midway at 4pm on the evening of Thursday, May 16th at Southside Park. The festivities will continue each day until approximately 6pm on the evening of Victoria Day Monday, May 20th. 

World’s Finest Shows will also offer a variety of food items and treats as well as midway and rides for all ages. This year's attractions will include a Merry-go-Round, Giant Slide, Cobra Coaster, Cannonball Drop, Kite Flyer, Scrambler and more!

Midway Hours

Thursday, May 16th: 4:00pm - closing
Friday, May 17th: 5:00pm - closing
Saturday, May 18th: Noon - closing
Sunday, May 19th: Noon - closing
Monday, May 20th: Noon - ~6:00pm

*Note: Closing each night is at the discretion of the midway provider and will vary based on weather and demand.

Single Coupons: $2.00
10 Coupons: $18.00
22 Coupons: $36.00** (Price listed incorrectly in some publications)
40 Coupons: $55.00

Each ride requires 2 - 3 coupons per person.

Only on Friday, May 17th, World's Finest Show will be offering Ride-til-close bracelets for $25.00 each. These bracelets will allow the holder admittance to an unlimited number of rides for the entire evening!

Woodstock Minor Ball's Rookie Baseball Bash

This year the City of Woodstock and Woodstock Minor Ball present the 2nd annual Rookie Baseball Bash (7 - 9 year olds) tournament! The bash will be held on the West diamond of Southside Park, the Community Complex diamonds, and the diamond at Brompton Park. Teams will be participating from Whitby, Georgina, Guelph, Brantford and Woodstock.

Woodstock Radio Control Flying Exhibit

The Woodstock Radio Control Flying Club will be providing a free exhibit on the Southside Park West diamond (just inside the Old Wellington St. entrance) on Monday, May 20th from 10:00am - 4:00pm.

Shipshape for Victoria Day

The Woodstock Navy League and Sea Cadets invite you to the cadet hall in Southside Park for some Victoria Weekend fun at 'the ship'. Events will be as follows:

  • Friday May 17th: Vendor Sale and Silent Auction Opening (5:30pm - 9:00pm)
  • Saturday, May 18th: Vendor Sale and Round 1 of Silent Auction closes (1:30pm - 9:30pm)
  • Sunday, May 19th: Cadet Demonstrations and Round 2 of Silent Auction closes (2:00pm - 7:00pm)
  • Monday, May 20th: Visit 'The Ship' for static displays and silent auction pickup (12:00pm - 2:00pm)

Victoria Day Parade - Monday May 20th, 2019

The Parade will leave the fairgrounds at 10:00 a.m. sharp and head west down Dundas Street to Wellington Street where it turns left and heads south over the railway overpass to Henry Street.  From Henry Street the parade will turn left onto Finkle Street and into Southside Park just over the creek by the cricket pitches.

The parade will feature over a dozen marching bands, stilt walkers, floats, vintage cars, walkers, clowns, Shriners and more.  If you or your group wish to participate in the parade it is FREE!
