Santa Claus Parade

Santa on Sleigh

2022 Event information to be updated

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO THE FRIENDLY CITY!

Due to the recent easing of COVID-19 restrictions governing outdoor events/gatherings, and with the support of a newly formed and dedicated ad-hoc committee, we are pleased to announce that the City will be orchestrating a Santa Claus Parade for kids of all ages to enjoy.

Responding to public feedback, we now need the publics support and participation to make this happen.  Help us spread the holiday spirit by rallying the community to get behind this decades long tradition that we so dearly missed in 2020.

PARADE ROUTE: Exit Fairgrouonds, south to McKenzie Street, west onto Dundas Street, north onto Light Street - Disbanding at Victoria Park/Buller Street.

The City of Woodstock Santa Claus Parade is lined up and ready to go, leaving the Woodstock Fairgrounds to McKenzie Ave at 2:00pm sharp, turning right onto Dundas Street, travelling west to Light Street, then north to Buller Street, disbanding at Victoria Park. Please be aware that the city Works Department will begin a soft closure of No Parking and Road Closures along the parade route, including side streets, commencing at 11:30am, followed by a hard closure at 1:30pm. All effected intersections will be clearly marked by barricades/signage and or Works/Police Vehicles.

Visitors to the Toy Show or Casino are asked to enter the Fairgrounds parking lot at the far west entrance. Clearly marked detour signs at the intersection of Nellis Street and Clarke Street will divert traffic around to the West entrance of Fairgrounds.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation, so that we might collectively enjoy this festive tradition. For those that plan on attending the parade, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item or item of winter clothing for collected donations.

Under recommendations from Southwestern Public Health in regards to Santa Claus Parades and Seasonal Gatherings, Festive occasions and other Fall/Winter Events, physical distancing between attendees of different households is strongly encouraged, as well as wearing a face covering (even if outdoors)
