Cowapolooza is celebrating it's 21st year this August! Woodstock's favourite summer festival includes free music, kids activities and more! 

The event takes place in Southside Park
Friday, Aug. 16 | 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. 
Saturday, Aug. 17 | 2 - 10 p.m.  

Volunteers

Our events wouldn't be possible without the help of dedicated volunteers. Our volunteer program is proudly presented by Zehrs, Woodstock  

If you're coming down to enjoy Cowapolooza, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item if you're able. Volunteers from South Gate Centre will be onsite collecting food donations Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 2 - 8 p.m. 

Cowapolooza Country

Please note: Due to the rain, we made the difficult decision to cancel the first act - Mike Robins Music. At this time, we are still optimistic we'll be able to proceed with Elyse Saunders and River Town Saints.

Artist Schedule

Mike Robins Music, former member of country band Autumn Hill. Mike Robins is now branching into a solo career, best known for One Beer At A Time.

6 - 6:45 p.m.

Elyse Saunders, who is a rising star best known for Never Have I Ever.

7 - 8 p.m.
River Town Saints, whose country music hits include A Little Bit Goes A Long Way, Cherry Bomb, She Got That and more will close out the show! 8:30 - 10 p.m.

Cowapolooza Kids 

Saturday, Aug. 17, 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. 

Fun for both the young and young at heart! Enjoy free activities including:

  • busker shows at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
  • face painters, pony rides, balloon artist, photo booth, Woodstock Public Library activities
  • inflatables & kids playzone 
  • Due to the possibility of inclement weather, this activity will unfortunately not be on-site: Woodstock Art Gallery Cowapolooza Kids Trading Cards. Have your photo taken to be transformed into a character from the enchanting cow-based fantasy world of Cowapolooza!

Kasador - Kingston-based rock trio 7 - 8 p.m.
Sloan - The Juno award winning band is best known for hits including The Good in Everyone, Money City Maniacs, The Rest of My Life 8:30 - 10 p.m.

Parking Options / Event Shuttle Bus 

The City of Woodstock is offering a free shuttle bus both Friday and Saturday! Also, free parking is available at many of the large parking lots surrounding Southside Park. 

Event Shuttle Bus/Parking Locations
*Southside Park, past the dry bridge, will be closed to vehicular traffic from Aug. 14 - 18 for event set-up. 


Event Shuttle Bus 

Friday, Aug. 16 from 5 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 17 from 2 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Park for free at the Civic Centre Arena, located at 895 Nellis St., Woodstock, and hop on the FREE shuttle bus to Southside Park. Buses will depart on Nellis Street at :00, :15, :30, :45. 

The shuttle will also stop on Wellington Street South, at the existing bus stops, between Dundas Street and Peel Street for those looking to park in a Downtown parking lots. While there, please visit the shops and restaurants in Downtown Woodstock!  

Note: City Bus Route #7 will also be in service to Southside Park at :08 and :38 past the hour, until 10 p.m. (regular transit fares apply)

Free Parking Locations Include: 

  • Accessible Parking in Southside Park, 192 Old Wellington St S. near the main washroom facilities.
  • Parking on nearby streets 
  • Reeves Community Complex, 369, 375 & 381 Finkle St.
  • Jack Dunn Memorial Parking, 347 Finkle St.
  • College Avenue Secondary School, 700 College Ave.
  • St. Mary's Catholic High School, 431 Juliana Dr.   

No Parking / Road Closures will be in place in the following areas starting on Friday, Aug. 16 at 8 a.m. until Saturday, Aug. 17 at 11 p.m. 

No parking signs will be located on both sides of the street at the following locations:

  • Walter Street from Southside Park Drive to East Park Drive
  • Dover Street from Henry Street to Bernadette Place
  • Bernadette Place
  • East Park Drive from Parkinson Road to Frances Street
  • Ferguson Drive - East side of street from Parkinson Road to Lindsay Road

Road Closures

  • South Street from Walter Street to Parkinson Road 
  • Walter Street from Victoria Street South to East Park Drive (due to construction) 

Cowapolooza FAQ's

Is this a free concert?

Yes, Cowapolooza is a free event. There is no tickets or admission needed to enjoy the music or activities. Vendors will also be on-site with food and merchandise available to purchase. 

Can I bring my own lawn chair

Yes, you are welcome to bring a lawn chair.

Is the venue pet friendly?

Yes, you can bring your furry friends, as long as the animal is on a leash. However, the event is very popular and the live music can be loud so consider your pet's comfort in those environments.

Is this event all ages?

Yes, all ages are welcome to enjoy everything Cowapolooza has to offer! Families won't want to miss Cowapolooza Kids Saturday afternoon.

Is there a beverage garden?

Yes, there is a beverage garden area on-site. Cash, debit and credit will be accepted. This will be the only location alcohol is permitted.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

No, please do not bring any alcoholic drinks with you on-site. There will be security, police, auxiliary and staff monitoring the event space.

What if there is inclement weather?

We carefully monitor the weather leading up to each event. Cancellation announcements will be posted on this webpage, as well as on all City of Woodstock social media outlets.

Where can I park?

You can find information about our parking options and free event shuttle above. The shuttle runs Friday from 5 - 11 p.m. and Saturday from 2 - 11 p.m.. 

I have dietary requirements, can you accommodate me?

There are a variety of food vendors on-site. Please check each vendor's menu to see if they offer items that fit your needs. You can also bring your own food to the venue.
