Canada Day

Parent and child watching fireworks

The park will be filled with fun for all ages, showcasing live music, a Canadian Kids Zone, marketplace and food vendors and ending the evening on a bang, with a spectacular fireworks show! 

The event takes place Tuesday, July 1, 2025 
2 p.m. - 10 p.m. | Southside Park

Music 

Enjoy main stage and side stage music throughout the entire day!

Fun for both the young and young at heart! From 2 p.m. - 8 p.m., enjoy free activities:  

Fireworks

The Canada Day Firework show will end the evening with a BANG! Watch the Southside Park sky sparkle as it snaps, crackles and pops starting at 9:30 p.m.

Our events bring together thousands of people of all ages each year and would not be possible without the help of partners, sponsors and community volunteers. As a volunteer you will have fun, meet new friends, earn community volunteer hours and make an impact on our community. Parking Options

Free parking is available at many of the large parking lots surrounding Southside Park.

Southside Park will be closed to vehicles past the Dry Bridge from June 28 – July 2 for event set-up. 

 Parking Locations

 Parking locations include:

  • Accessible parking in Southside Park, 192 Old Wellington St S. near the main washroom facilities.
  • Parking on nearby streets and limited parking in Southside Park, 192 Old Wellington St S.
  • Reeves Community Complex, 369, 375 & 381 Finkle St.
  • Jack Dunn Memorial Parking, 347 Finkle St. 
  • College Avenue Secondary School, 700 College Ave.
