Fireworks
Consumer fireworks are not permitted in Woodstock. A ban on fireworks reduces:
- the risk of fires, injury and property damage
- air pollution and debris
- excessive noise
- negative impacts on animals and their habitats
If you see or hear someone setting off fireworks in Woodstock, please contact the Woodstock Police Service non-emergency line at 519-421-2800, extension 9.
The bylaw regulating the sale and discharge of consumer fireworks is Chapter #0802 of the Municipal Code.
If you would like to apply for a permit to host a professional firework display, you must contact the Woodstock Fire Department.
