EnviroDepot
The EnviroDepot is a convenient service offered to Woodstock residents to help divert materials from the landfill. The entrance is off James Street (between Clarke Street South and Springbank Avenue). This service is free for Woodstock residents, with the exception of items containing Freon.
Rules and Regulation
- All vehicles must report to the attendant window to provide identification and declare the contents of their load. Remember, no household garbage is permitted.
- No commercial waste is accepted at this site. The EnviroDepot attendants will not allow entry to any contractors, commercial businesses, vehicles with advertising for businesses or organizations, vehicles registered CVOR, cargo vans, straight trucks, or rental companies. These items may be dropped off at the Salford Landfill.
- All children under the age of 12 must remain in the vehicle at all times.
- All pets must remain in the vehicle at all times.
- No smoking is permitted on site.
- All loads must be tarped and properly secured.
- Obey all traffic signs and attendants.
- Scavenging is not permitted
This site is under video surveillance at all times. Site attendants reserve the right to reject any load or object that appears to be a safety hazard. Staff are there to monitor loads, answer questions, ensure facility compliance, and ensure a smoothly running facility – they cannot help you unload your vehicle.
Hours
Because household recycling can no longer be accepted at the EnviroDepot as a result of the province-wide changes to recycling, staff will be evaluating the impact of these changes and how the depot can continue diverting materials from the landfill.
The EnviroDepot will be open Jan. 7, 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 10 from 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. After Jan. 10, the EnviroDepot will only be open Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Hours may be adjusted further once we have more information about the demand under the new waste collection program.
Fees
There is no fee for Woodstock residents to drop off eligible materials (with the exception of materials containing Freon).
