Emergency Preparedness Checklist

During an emergency, every second helps. Do you know what to do if an emergency strikes? The City of Woodstock has a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan that outlines how the city will respond during an emergency. Make sure you're prepared too so that you can act fast in any emergency.

Emergency Preparedness Expo

As part of Emergency Preparedness Week, the Woodstock Fire Department, along with community partners, is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Expo on Saturday May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Come out to the Foodland Plaza, 645 Dundas St. and talk to emergency services and agencies involved in helping keep you and your family safe during an emergency. 

Participating organizations include:

  • Woodstock Fire
  • Woodstock Police
  • Oxford County EMS
  • Woodstock Hospital
  • Southwestern Public Health
  • Salvation Army
  • Victim Services VASoc
  • City of Woodstock Public Works Department
  • Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)
  • Canadian Red Cross

In the event of rain on Saturday, the Expo will move to Sunday, May 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Emergency Preparedness Week

Emergency Preparedness Week takes place each year during the first week of May. The theme for 2024 is Plan for Every Season. Emergency Preparedness Week is intended to raise awareness about individual and family emergency preparedness.
