Awards and Recognitions

Woodstock is shaped by the people and organizations that give their time, talents and energy to our community. The City recognizes individuals and groups whose achievements, leadership and service make Woodstock a better place to live.

The Friendly City Volunteer Recognition Awards

The award intends to formally recognize and celebrate individuals and organizations whose volunteer contributions strengthen the social, cultural and economic fabric of the Woodstock community.

They recognize individuals, groups, and organizations that have enhanced quality of life, supported vulnerable populations, and fostered a spirit of civic pride and engagement.

The awards promote a thriving and resilient community that is built on the dedication, compassion, and generosity of individuals who give their time and skills without expectation of compensation.

Recipients are recognized at a City Council meeting and receive a plaque or medallion honouring their achievement.
