Fire Ban Lifted
The Woodstock Fire Department has lifted the temporary fire ban on all open-air fires within the City of Woodstock, effective Friday, Aug. 15, at 4 p.m.
Temperatures have cooled and rain is expected in the forecast, reducing the risk of fires spreading as easily. Permits are still required for residential open-air fires.
Permitted fires must be:
- contained within an approved fire pit located on a non-combustible surface
- smaller than 60 cm x 60 cm and 45 cm high
- at least 4m from any building, property line, trees/hedges or any other combustible material
- between 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.
