Strong Advance Voter Turnout Recorded in Woodstock's 2026 Municipal Election
News Release Date: October 21, 2026
WOODSTOCK, ON – Thousands of Woodstock residents have already cast their ballot in the 2026 Municipal Election, with advance voting and online voting participation demonstrating strong community engagement ahead of Voting Day.
Since voting opened, over 5,500 eligible voters have cast their ballot through a combination of online voting and in-person advance polling opportunities held across the city. In 2022, a total of 9,442 ballots were cast through the advanced voting period and on election day.
For the first time in Woodstock's history, voters have the option of participating through a hybrid election model, allowing residents to cast their ballot either online or in person. The introduction of online voting in advance polling has provided voters with a secure, convenient and flexible way to participate in the democratic process from anywhere.
Residents who have not yet voted still have time to make their voice heard.
Online voting remains open 24 hours a day until 8 p.m. on October 25, 2026, allowing eligible voters to cast their ballot from home or on the go.
Voting Day is Monday, October 26, 2026. Polling locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and eligible voters may vote at any of the following locations:
- Goff Hall (381 Finkle St.)
- Algonquin Public School (59 Algonquin Rd.)
- Cowan Sportsplex (895 Ridgewood Rd.)
- Unifor Hall (126 Beale St.)
