New Family Physician Opens Oxfordia Medical Centre in Woodstock
The City of Woodstock is pleased to welcome Dr. Hamza Aman, a family physician who is establishing his practice at Oxfordia Medical Centre in Woodstock.
Dr. Aman is a UK-trained family physician who holds a Certificate of Completion of Training and Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners, reflecting the United Kingdom’s recognized general-practice training pathway. He is registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and holds Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
At Oxfordia Medical Centre, Dr. Aman will provide comprehensive, evidence-based family medicine for patients of all ages. His approach emphasizes respectful, culturally sensitive care, with a focus on listening to patients, explaining care options clearly and partnering with patients in decisions about their health.
“Woodstock is home to families from many backgrounds, and it is important that local health care reflects the diversity of our community,” said Kristy Hons, Physician Recruiter for the City of Woodstock. “Dr. Aman’s commitment to making patients feel heard and understood, including through care in multiple languages, will be a valuable addition to Woodstock’s primary-care community.” Dr. Aman is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi, helping patients discuss their health concerns in the language in which they are most comfortable.
Recruiting and retaining family physicians remains an important priority for the City of Woodstock and its health-care partners. As Woodstock and Oxford County continue to grow, expanding access to primary care remains essential to supporting the health and well-being of local residents.
“We are proud to welcome physicians who choose to build their practices here and contribute to a healthy, inclusive and growing community,” said Hons.
Patients interested in registering with Dr. Aman are encouraged to visit the Oxfordia Medical Centre website at https://oxfordiamedical.com/ and select the “New Patient Registration” option on the website to register.
