Highlights from the April 2 Council Meeting 

Woodstock, ON – Thursday’s Council meeting began at 1:30 p.m. and began with a delegation.  

  • Council heard from the Chair of the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority about the Province’s recent announcement regarding the consolidation of conservation authorities in Ontario.  
  • Council received correspondence and approved a request from the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners to post signs on City property to promote an annual charity fundraiser - IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s - on May 30.   

2026 Community Grant Program   

Council agreed to allocate the following community grants for the 2026 Spring intake:

Woodstock & District Development Services $10,000.00
Woodstock Minor Ball Association $3,080.00
Woodstock Rotary Music Festival $5,000.00
Woodstock Wildcats Girls Hockey Association $7,210.00
Total Amount Requested $81,595.00
