City Launches Redesigned Website
Residents, visitors, and community partners will now experience a more modern, intuitive, and efficient way to connect with municipal services as the city unveiled its newly redesigned website, including microsites for the Museum, Art Gallery, and Economic Development, launched today - April 20, 2026.
This digital redesign and website migration project reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to improving access to information, enhancing customer service, and ensuring its online presence remains reliable, secure, and cost effective.
Following the retirement of the previous content management system, the city reviewed its options and chose to move to the newest platform offered by its current web provider. This choice keeps services running smoothly, lowers costs, and gives the city access to better tools and updated technology.
“By using modern technology, we’re making it easier than ever for our community to access services, stay informed, and connect with their local government. Our redesigned websites are built on a modern, user‑focused platform that puts residents’ needs at the centre of the experience,” said the City’s Manager of Communications and Marketing, Tatjana Milne.
Navigation has been reorganized to help people find information more quickly, and the interface has been simplified to reduce clutter and improve readability across all devices. Updated homepage elements, including refreshed iconography and visual banners, create a more engaging and accessible experience for all audiences.
The city looks forward to welcoming residents to the new digital platforms and continuing to build a more connected, informed, and engaged community.
