Asphalt Singles

  • Asphalt shingles only may be deposited into one bin.

Wooden and metal shingles may be deposited in their respective bins (construction materials and scrap metal)

Bulk and Large Items

Acceptable Items

  • Carpet
  • Furniture
  • Large toys
  • Microwaves
  • Mattresses
  • Plastic tubs/sinks
  • Pool covers, filters (no sand) pumps
  • Rain barrels
  • Water softeners (no sand)
  • Vacuum cleaners

Unacceptable Items

  • Small items that fit into a standard garbage bag

Acceptable Items

  • Audio and video players and recorders ( e.g. MP3, cassette, digital)
  • Cameras (web, digital, analog)
  • Cellular phones, pagers, telephones and answering machines
  • Computer peripherals (modems, keyboards, mice, hard drives, optical drives such as CD, Blu-ray, DVD, HD-DVD)
  • Desktop and laptop computers
  • Desktop printing devices, including desktop copiers, and multi-function devices
  • Monitors and televisions
  • Radios, Receivers, Speakers, Turntables
  • Scanners
  • Stereo Equipment
  • Typewriters
  • Video recorders and video players/projectors, digital frames

Unacceptable Items

  • Headphones
  • Power tools and power equipment, such as drills, saws, motors, etc.
  • Small household appliances, such as irons, blenders, mixers, etc.


  • Door glass
  • Mirrors
  • Windows

Household Hazardous Waste

When dropping off hazardous waste please ensure:

  • All materials must be in the orginal or well-marked container to indicate the contents
  • All containers must be securely capped and sealed
  • Liquid wastes must be no larger than 20L each
  • Barrels or drums of waste will not be accepted
  • Material will not be decanted on-site; the container and its contents must be left at the depot

Acceptable Items

  • Aerosols
  • Anti-freeze and its containers
  • Batteries (auto, alkaline and rechargeable)
  • Fluorescent light tubes and bulbs
  • Household cleaners
  • Paints and coatings plus their containers
  • Motor oil and oil filters plus their containers
  • Pesticides, lawn fertilizers and their containers
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Propane tanks and other pressurized containers
  • Sharps (needles, lancets must be in a sealed puncture proof container)
  • Solvents
  • Used cooking oil

Unacceptable Items

  • Ammunition
  • Asbestos
  • Biomedical waste
  • Explosives
  • PCB's
  • Putrescide waste (organic materials)
  • Radioactive waste
  • Smoke Detectors (these can be deposited at the Woodstock Fire Department)

Porcelain & Rubble

  • Broken concrete
  • Concrete bricks & blocks
  • Mortar
  • Patio stones
  • Sinks
  • Tiles
  • Toilets

Asphalt materials are not accepted at this site

Landcaping stones are not accepted at this site


Renovation Materials

  • Drywall
  • Flooring
  • Insulation
  • Kitchen Cabinets
  • Non-metallic plumbing (this goes in Scrap Steet)
  • Non-pressure treated construction lumber
  • Wooden pallets

Pressure-treated construction lumber may be deposited into the bulk item bin


Tires must be off their rims

Acceptable Items
On-road passenger and light truck tires:

  • Free-rolling farm, small utility, small industrial, forklift and Bobcat/Steer tire 16" and under
  • Small RV, ST trailer, temporary spare, motorcycle, golf cart and ATV
  • Truck and bus tires, including wide base or heavy truck tires designed for truck/bus applications and larger RV tires not marked 'P' or 'T'

Off-road tires (small and large industrial tires):

  • Solid industrial tires (for forklift, trucks, etc.), pneumatic forklift tires and Bobcat/Skid Steer tires measuring 16.5: and over

Off-road tires (agricultural drive and logger skidder):

  • Drive wheel tires used on tractors and combines and tree harvest equipment. Normally identifies with sidewall marking suffix letters 'R', 'HF', or 'LS' and are 16.5" and up rim size.

Non-acceptable Items

  • Bicycle tires
  • Commercial aircraft tires
  • Personal mobility device tires
  • Shredded and cut tires
  • Tires on toys

White Goods (Appliances)

  • Air conditioners (No refrigerate)
  • BBQ's without propane tank
  • Fridges (No Freon)
  • Stoves
  • Washers / Dryers
  • Water coolers (No refrigerate)

Items containing or may have contained a refrigerate will be subject to a $10.00 surcharge unless properly tagged by an authorized refrigerate removal technician. 

Items containing a refrigerate are accepted in a special collection area near the White Goods (appliances) bin.
