Rules and Regulations

This site is under video surveillance at all times!

Site attendants reserve the right to reject any load or object that appears to be a safety hazard. To help ensure the safe and efficient operation of the EnviroDepot, clients are asked to follow these instructions:

No Household Garbage

Absolutely no household garbage is accepted at this site. This includes bags of garbage or anything small enough to fit into a garbage bag. If you have loose small items, your load will be rejected. See our Acceptable Materials page.

Large Items

Large items refers to items not accepted for curbside garbage collection. These items can either be placed out at the curb during large item/bulk item collection week or may be brought to the EnviroDepot. Please note there is a limit of five items for both curbside large item collection or drop off at the EnviroDepot.

Residential Use Only

The depot is intended for residential use and proof of residence within Oxford County is required. Commercial waste, waste from business or contractors is not accepted at this site.

The EnviroDepot attendants will not allow entry to any contractors, commercial businesses, vehicles with advertising for businesses or organizations, vehicles registered CVOR, cargo vans, straight trucks, or rental companies.

Procedure

  • All vehicles must report to the attendant window to provide identification and declare the contents of their load. Remember, no household garbage is permitted.
  • All children under the age of 12 must remain in the vehicle at all times.
  • All pets must remain in the vehicle at all times.
  • No smoking is permitted on site.
  • All loads must be tarped and properly secured.
  • Obey all traffic signs and attendants.
  • Scavenging is not permitted!
  • You are responsible for unloading your load. If it is heavy make sure you bring a helping hand!

Household Hazardous Waste

All materials intended for the household hazardous waste drop off must be in a closed and sealed containers. No resident will be permitted to dump or transfer contents on site.

Reminders

  • Motor oil, filters, antifreeze and their containers should be brought to the Household Hazardous Waste for proper disposal.
  • Empty cans of household paint can be put into your curbside recycling blue bin. Please ensure that the lid is off and the inside of the can is dry!

Blue Box Materials

Recycling materials are now accepted at the EnviroDepot. The old recycling drop-off location at the dead-end of Clarke Street South is now closed. Click here for more information on curbside recycling collection.
