Para-transit

Current para-transit users - If your registration is due to expire or has expired, please contact City Hall to enquire about extensions at 519-539-1291.

New applicants - We continue to process new applications. Applicants need to complete Part A and have their medical professional complete Part B prior to submitting the application to City Hall.City Hall is now open and completed applications can be dropped off at 500 Dundas Street main floor reception. 

You may submit your application using one of the following methods;

  • Fax – 519-539-7705
  • Mail – you may drop your application in the night mail box at the Reeve St. entrance of City Hall.

 Para-transit service is provided by the City of Woodstock and offers door to door scheduled service.  Para-transportation is intended for persons who, due to a functional limitation, cannot board, ride or disembark from Woodstock Transit fixed-routes. PARA-TRANSPORTATION APPLICATION

To be eligible to ride our Para-transit, the Para-Transportation Application form must be filled out in its entirety and returned to Para-transportation, City of Woodstock, P.O. Box 1539, 500 Dundas Street. 

You will need to print the form to have Part B completed by your health care professional.  Photo I.D. cards will be required to use this service.  Once your application is approved, you will be contacted to schedule your photo identification appointment.

BOOKING RIDES

You must be registered as a Para-transit user to book your ride.  All rides must be pre-booked a minimum 24 hours in advance.  Same day rides are available if there is space.

PARA-TRANSIT FARE

Effective: Thursday, April 1, 2021
Registered Paratransit Users can no longer ride conventional service for free.  They must pay a fare.
The City of Woodstock has recently amended the Para-transportation Policy A002 to reflect the upcoming change

All passes accepted by our conventional transit are also accepted by Para-transit. Fare is required at time of boarding with no exceptions.  Exact change is required when paying for a single ride.  Riders with inadequate fare will be declined service.   Drivers are required to follow their manifests and are not permitted to change your scheduled destination or book return rides.  Transit fees are the same for conventional as it is for Para-transit.  Please view our Bus Passes and Cash Fare page for information on transit fees.  This page will also provide a list of current Authorized Transit Agents, click the link above and scroll down to view this information.
