Garbage Bag Tags

Garbage bag tags must be stuck on the top half of the garbage bag and both ends of the tag must be visible. If you're using a container, place the tag on top of the material inside.

Curbside collection begins at 7:30 a.m. on your scheduled day.  Read our collection schedule and map for details.

1 bag tag is needed for:

  • Each bag, maximum size of 76 x 96 centimetres (30 x 38 inches) and maximum weight of 20 kilograms (44lbs)
  • Each container less than 128 litres in size and the container must be in good repair

2 bag tags are needed for:

Weight restrictions

The maximum allowable weight for bags or containers is 20 kilograms (44 lbs). Anything weighing more than the allowable weight will not be picked up.  You will either need to bring it back in for the next pick up day or you may take it to the Oxford County Landfill in Salford Ontario.

Bags or containers weighing more than 20 kilograms cannot be handled by the drivers and will be tagged as overweight.
