EnviroDepot

Woodstock EnviroDepot

The City of Woodstock offers an environmental transfer station at 944 James Street (corner of James Street and Springbank Avenue).  The entrance is off of James Street where signs notes Brush and Yard Waste and EnviroDepot.

The need for the depot was first identified in the 2011 Woodstock Waste Diversion Plan as a step to increase diversion of material fro mthe landfill, which opened in June 2018.  The EnviroDepot not only serves as a means to divert from the landfill, it offers City of Woodstock residents and Oxford County residents a convenient alternative to waitng for their curbside large item collection week.  The depot is available year round with reduced hours throughout the winter season.

The facility houses several areas to take a variety of waste that cannot be collected during your weekly garbage an recycling programs.

Before it Becomes Waste...

The most effective way to reduce waste and protect our environment is to reduce, reuse and recylce!  Before dropping your items off  at the depot, see if you can donate your items to a family member, a friend, or an organization.

REgift - Give your furniture and other large items that are in good conditional to a relative or friend who can put them to good use.

REuse - Donate items to an organization that accepts used goods.

REdistribute - Post items on buy and sell websites.  It is easier than you think!
