Building Inspections

Please call the Building Inspection Line: 519-539-2382 ext. 3198 to book your appointment or you may request your inspection by email.

Inspections must be booked a minimum 24 hours in advance. Staff will follow up with you by phone or email to confirm the date and time of your appointment.

Required Information

You must include the following details when calling or emailing your inspection request:

• Building Permit Number: This is required for all inspections.
• Address: Civic address and street name.
• Type of Inspection: You can find the type of inspection required on your building permit. Please specify if it is for a deck, shed, pool enclosure, etc.
• Preferred Date and Time: We will try our best to schedule you for the time requested, but due to the amount of inspections called in your time and date may need to be changed.
• Contact Information: You name and phone number so we can follow up and confirm the date and time of your inspection.
