Facility Notice:  Reeves Community Complex, Civic Arena, Cowan Park Sportsplex, and Southside Aquatic Centre has re-opened as of January 31, 2022.


You can purchase a membership at the below times:

  • You can purchase your membership at Cowan Park Sportsplex from Monday- Sunday during operating hours

Track Hours 

 The Walking Track will be open on the following times from, schedule varies by season. Walking Track is closed on all statutory holidays.















Sunday 12:00pm-7:00pm

Walking Track Rules and Regulations

  • Walkers must check-in at the front counter, and scan their card.
  • Warm up/cool down/stretching must take place on first level near coat area. (remember to physically distance).
  • Walking poles are permitted with a rubber base.
  • Walking will take place single file on the inside lane.
  • Jogging will take place single file on the outside lane.
  • Passing will take place on the outside lane, please check your surroundings before passing.
  • Persons pushing strollers may attend, walking in the outside lane.
  • There shall be no unauthorized use of the walking track including spectating. 
  • Please keep noise level down for the respect of other track users.
  • No spitting or pouring of water.
  • No pets are permitted (service animals are accepted).
  • No equipment, including but not limited to sticks, balls, pucks, mats, free held weights, skipping ropes, etc. which might interfere with the safety of any walker or runner while on the track surface.
  • Children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 19 years of age or older at all times. Only four youth per parent or guardian will be permitted on the track at one time.
  • Appropriate and clean indoor footwear must be worn. 
  • No spiked footwear including track shoes, golf shoes, baseball cleats, etc.
  • Wheels on strollers, wheel chairs, walkers, etc. must be clean and dry.
  • No food, gum or drinks with the exception of non-breakable water bottles on the track.
  • Absolutely no climbing on, over or leaning against the rails.
  • Staff have the authority to restrict public access to the track at any time if the facility occupancy load is met or if it is believed that public safety could be jeopardized.
  • Any inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited obscene language, gestures, or any action that will cause damage to the facility, or any action that will cause harm or disturbance to others.
  • We reserve the right to ban track privileges from those who do not adhere to the rules.
  • Support Persons are admitted free to the walking track while assisting a person with a disability.
