“This piece is an attempt to capture the ethereal nature of changes we see around us, especially for something as mysterious as an eclipse. I wanted to explore the ways that paint and paper could be used to evoke light and darkness when used together. Since there are a number of orb-like shapes in the piece and only slight colour variation, it invites the viewer to interpret the importance of the position of a particular orb within the work. Paint, charcoal and paper interplay to add mystery.”
