Beth Stewart is best known for her birds. She is a backyard birder. As she lives near Westminster Ponds, an Environmentally Significant Area (ESA) in southern Ontario, she has plenty of winged visitors, including cardinals who frequent Beth's black oil sunflower seed feeder. She is fascinated by birds' antics, tenacity and beauty. She captures them in coloured pencil, a labour-intensive medium, which Beth enjoys for its controllability and versatility.
