WAG Visual Elements 63 Jurors: Daniel Cairo
Daniel Cairo
Daniel Cairo moved to Brantford, Ontario, from Montevideo, Uruguay, nearly 15 years ago. For over a decade he has worked for a local Woodstock company and arguably spends more time in Woodstock than anywhere else. Cairo was born into an artistic family and credits his mother for much of his interest in pursuing the complexities of illustration, perspective, and the tricky handling of impasto oil painting. Working from photographic sources, Cairo captures the urban environment with an expressionist quality that evokes the particular and unique mood and character of his personal discoveries.
