“Nature will always persevere, is exhibited in this painting. In the beginning, a fenceline of barbed wire once divided the land, at that time, this young tree was determined to grow despite its obstacles. After years of tenacity, we have three strands of barbed wire with a flourishing tree around it. I emphasized in my painting not only the perceived facial scowl left behind created by this incredibly cool phenomena of nature, but also the pain and sorrow our environment suffers from human impact.”
