Teacher Appreciation Night
Thursday, Sept. 25
3 – 5 p.m.
Drop-in at the Woodstock Art Gallery (449 Dundas St.) from 3 – 5 p.m. and enjoy some fun immersed in the arts, history and culture of our city. Learn about our school programs, partnerships, classes, and events offered throughout the school year at the WAG and Woodstock Museum NHS. Enter a draw to win a free school program for your classroom! Snacks & refreshments provided. For more information, please email the WAG Education Department.

High School Portfolio Day
Friday, Oct. 24
8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
High School Portfolio Day is a single-day workshop designed for students attending high school. The program provides an opportunity for students to connect with and gain insight into the practices and current methods of local arts professionals.

School Programs
The Woodstock Art Gallery's education programs are designed to help students:
- Learn to analyze and discuss elements of design and the conceptual or emotional qualities conveyed in the artwork.
- Build a foundation through which students can develop an appreciation and understanding of the visual arts.
- Participate in cross-curricular and interdisciplinary learning and visual literacy strategies to communicate with others about visual art

Onsite Programs
Onsite education school programs are available on select dates and include a guided tour of current exhibitions and a hands-on art lesson.
Free transportation is available via our Transit Outreach Partnership program for schools in Woodstock. Available on a first come first served basis.
Time: 10 –11:30 a.m. and/or 12:30 – 2 p.m.
Cost: $8 per student with a minimum of $120 per program (chaperones free of charge)
New! Offsite Programs
Offsite education school programs are available on select dates and include a guided presentation highlighting works from our Permanent Collection and a hands-on art lesson.
Time: Morning or Afternoon (flexible times available)
Cost: $8 per student with a minimum of $120 per program plus mileage
Hands-On Art Lessons
The following lessons are available for both onsite and offsite programs:
- Clay Sculpture (suitable for all grades/ages)
- Relief Printmaking (suitable for all grades/ages)
- Watercolour Painting (recommended Gr. 2+)
