Scholarship Opportunities

VISUAL ARTS SCHOLARSHIP - ESTABLISHED 1990

A PROJECT OF THE FRIENDS OF THE WOODSTOCK ART GALLERY

$1000.00 will be awarded to a graduating high school student from Oxford County who has received proof of acceptance and confirmation to attend an accredited post-secondary institution in the field of Visual/Fine/Media arts such as, but not limited to, graphic design, film, photography, electronic media, computer-generated arts, painting, printmaking, sculpture and fibre arts.

In order to qualify, students are asked to submit an application package and complete the following checklist:

 Application form (see PDF attached below)

 One page statement about their interest in pursuing studies in the arts

 Letter of recommendation from art teacher

 An artist statement (theme, direction, process etc.)

 List of Artwork/Images submitted - to include title, date, medium, size

 Include a maximum of 10 pieces of your original work or images of your artwork (CD with small jpegs – 300 dpi is acceptable – label each jpeg accordingly with last name and title of work)

 If submitting original artwork, please ensure it is properly labelled.

Letter of confirmation and acceptance to post-secondary arts program

Portfolios must be submitted to the Woodstock Art Gallery during regular Gallery hours 10-5pm during the last week of May.

Late submissions will not be accepted for consideration.
