WAG Reopening Plan

Woodstock Art Gallery Reopening Plan

The Woodstock Art Gallery has reopened to the public as of August 11, 2020.

Following the direction of the Province of Ontario and public health officials, the WAG will begin a staged reopening with modified hours and programming.

  • Tuesday to Saturday: 12pm – 4pm
  • Seniors & People at Risk: 11am – 12pm

Health and Safety

The health and safety of our community is the top priority as the Woodstock Art Gallery reopens. A number of measures have been implemented throughout the building including:

  • Health screening of all visitors
  • Limit of 30 people in the building at all times (including staff)
  • Physical distancing stickers and signage
  • Glass barrier at the front desk
  • Cashless transactions
  • Hand sanitizing stations
  • Touchless accessible doors
  • Single occupant washrooms with accessible doors
  • Enhanced cleaning of high traffic areas

The WAG is also reminding visitors to be mindful and take precautions to ensure the health and safety of others:

  • Visit alone or in very small groups (family or social bubble)
  • Wear a mask or face covering
  • Maintain physical distancing
  • Wash or sanitize your hands frequently
  • Call ahead if you have any questions or concerns
  • Stay home if you feel unwell

Due to the closure caused by the pandemic, all Gallery memberships have been extended for four months.

If you have any questions about the status of your membership, please email us.

Programs and Events

At this time, public programs including WAG Summer Art Camps have been cancelled or postponed.

There is also a moratorium on all exhibition openings, tours and special events until large gatherings are deemed safe. This includes the cancellation of the annual Taste of Art fundraiser and the 2020/2021 See You at the Movies film season.

As the WAG enters future stages of reopening, more information will be provided on health and safety measures related to programs and events.
