When I did this piece, I wanted my viewers to see that not everything has to be perfect to be beautiful. I like to use acrylic paint and this piece has various colours to draw your attention to the eye and what surrounds it. The green face and the bags under the eye and the uneven lines around it may not appeal to everyone, but I want to show you that it becomes what's beautiful about the piece and holds your attention. The gold surrounding it is like it's creeping in, trying to capture the ugly, but the pink holds strong and pulls it all together as a beautiful piece. It's the imperfections that become the beauty. That is how we all should see things in life.
