This acrylic painting, created on a hand-stretched canvas, depicts three characters from Strawberry Shortcake, one of my favourite childhood television shows. These figurines represent my childhood, a time of joy, innocence and lightheartedness. This painting evokes feelings of nostalgia within individuals and reminds them of the happy times of their youth. Furthermore, the dark background contrasts with the bright figurines to depict the contrast between the difficulties of adulthood and the ease of life during childhood. My process of creating this painting consists of taking a photo of the subjects and using a variety of painting techniques.
