This piece is a modern take on a Vanitas painting. Items included within this piece not only can relate to the pandemic, but they also hold personal significance. The clock represents the slow-moving time in the pandemic, and the plant represents personal growth. As well, the hand sanitizer has become an essential item in my daily life, and the Tim Hortons mug represents my part-time job, and my growing love for iced coffees. Finally, the textbook represents the struggle of online school, and the Vogue magazine shows my interest for fashion.
