This drawing was motivated by dream imagery. Normally, this sort of imagery would be immediately forgotten upon waking up, but I'd still recognize the "essence" of it.
The purpose of the image is to capture a feeling to me that I do not usually feel lucidly nor in waking life. The drawing serves as an expression of a certain mood.
The drawing was initially a series of doodles I had drawn, but slowly turned into a landscape of flowers. The folds and curls of the petals on these flowers were particularly fun to draw.
