This piece hopes to convey the overwhelming emotions that motherhood can invoke. The chaotic swirls of colour contrast with the smooth pastels, creating a dissonance of disorder and calmness. With this piece, I wanted to capture the different kinds of love that are involved in the bonds of motherhood and capture the complex emotions that human life can create. This love is shown throughout the piece by use of warm colours and a warmer embrace. Although I myself am not a mother, I wanted to show my appreciation for my own parents, and the love they continue to show me.
