This piece is called Ruby Chocolate — named of course for the red monochrome colour, but also Ruby Chocolate, a type of chocolate with a creamy red appearance. It's inspired by Lindor and their chocolatiers. They create such beautiful desserts and in such a satisfying calming way I wanted to capture that slow pouring of the smooth creamy chocolate. This drawing was created using coloured pencils along with white gouache for highlights. I chose to use coloured pencils to create the drawing because of how creamy and soft the lead of the pencil is. It had the same smooth texture as the berry.
