Join the Woodstock Art Gallery for a FREE virtual curator talk on the work of influential Canadian artist David Milne. Esteemed senior Christopher Finn will lead a lecture on the upcoming Fall 2020 exhibition, which has been organized and circulated by the Art Gallery of Windsor. Milne’s American/Canadian cross-border art career extended from early to mid-twentieth century. The talk will include a selection of images from the exhibition which reveal the range of David Milne’s inspiration, and his philosophical considerations in exploring mediums which supported his oil and watercolour painting. The artist’s practice also included drypoint printmaking. Several of Milne’s prints included in the exhibition will be featured. The artist has described his prints as ‘adventures in diluted painting’ revealing 'new directions’ for his artmaking. Q&A session to follow. Offered in partnership with Fanshawe Fine Art.
