Propose a Program

The Woodstock Art Gallery is seeking qualified artists, arts professionals and community project leaders to teach, educate, and bring awareness and appreciation of the arts to the community.

If you have an idea for an artist talk, public program or community project for youth or adults that fits with the WAG’s mission, vision and mandate, submit your proposal for the 2021 program schedule.

The public program schedule runs seasonally in spring/summer (March to September) and fall/winter (September to March)

How to Apply

All proposals must be submitted through our Education Call for Proposals online form linked below. Applications must include:

  • Instructor biography (max. 300 words)
  • Resume/CV (max. 3 pages)
  • Class/project description and curriculum (max. 1 page)
  • Class/project details including dates and times, number of participants, location, audio visual equipment required, room set-up, professional fee and supply list
  • Instructor headshot and/or project image for advertising and promotion

Submit a Proposal

Selection Criteria

Submissions are reviewed by the WAG Education Department and selected based on a variety of factors including but not limited to:

  • Class/project interest
  • Instructor experience, education and qualifications
  • Project originality
  • Societal issues and concerns in context with the WAG’s mission, vision and mandate
  • References (upon request)

The WAG practices the use of non-toxic materials and safe teaching methods in an inclusive, safe and friendly space.

Accepted classes/projects run on a cost recovery basis (if applicable) within the specific parameters outlined in a detailed contract. A vulnerable sector check is also required.
