Young Canada Works
The Woodstock Art Gallery offers career development opportunities for young people through Young Canada Works.
Young Canada Works (YCW) offers young Canadians the opportunity to develop work skills and gain professional experience.
Through summer job programs and internship programs, students and recent graduates can put their skills to the test, build career equity, earn money for their education or get started on the right career path. YCW creates about 2,300 job opportunities per year in the fields of heritage, arts, culture and official languages.
The YCW program is delivered through two components:
Summer Job Programs
Are you a current high school, CEGEP, college, or university student looking for a summer job that is relevant to your studies? A summer job can be more than just a way to earn money. YCW offers two summer job programs that can help students to:
- acquire valuable work experience and skills
- explore and discover new regions within Canada
- pay for their education
Internship Programs
Interested in an internship in Canada or abroad in your specific field of study? YCW internships are an enriching experience for unemployed or underemployed college or university graduates. Participating in a YCW internship can help graduates to:
- improve their skills through a career-related experience
- establish contacts in the industry related to their field of study
- expand their career options by working in Canada or abroad.
More information about YCW can be found at the Government of Canada Young Canada Works website.
