Puppy prints, 2020
Lino

My artwork has a graceful and peaceful look to it. When I look at it reminds me that the puppy must have been very energetic and goofy. What inspired me to do paw prints is pit bulls. I find that they are misunderstood. So my artwork was trying to show that they are not as evil as people think and that they can be goofy and caring. My friend is the person who inspires me with art. She has the most beautiful painting that is what inspired me to make it look like puppies go through paint. I love art because it's relaxing and fun. I find that there is one challenge with being an artist and that is that you never know until you are done if you added too much of something or if it was the wrong colors mixed.

Starburst, 2020
Lino

Starburst was inspired by the milky-way at my cottage. I have always loved looking at the stars from our dock and sharing the moment with my friends. I found it challenging when carving the lino and trying not to dig right through it. I am hoping that my representation of the stars has the feeling I do when I look at it.

I Love Bunnies and Cats, 2020
Lino

When my class was deciding on what they wanted their artwork to look like I thought of a few ideas but, decided to choose this. When you are looking at my artwork you can see there is a repeating pattern of hearts, cats and bunnies. I chose to incorporate cats and bunnies because they are my favourite animals and the heart shows how much I love them. I decided to choose blue ink because it makes the animals pop out rather than using black ink. During the process of making my final piece I did have some problems when using the lino template block but, I am very proud of my design and final piece.
