Splash Pads
Finkle Street Splash Pad
Located at Reeves Community Complex, 347 Finkle St. With more than 30 different spray features including a splash bucket, there is something for kids of all ages and abilities to enjoy.
In addition to the splash pad, there is an accessible playground that takes into consideration users mobility and sensory needs as well as a shade pavilion for families to get relief from sun or rain.
Grand Opening Event

Join us for the official grand opening of our newest (and biggest) splash pad and playground!
Families can enjoy lawn games, a free treat from Mega Cone Creamery and are encouraged to pack their bathing suits and even a picnic to enjoy.
Colouring Contest
Enter for a chance to be the first to push the button and turn the water on in the splash pad.
To enter, children aged 3 - 13 are invited to submit a drawing and include all the features that would be included in their perfect park. Download the entry form or pick one up at a City recreational facility.

Vansittart Park Splash Pad
- Open 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. seven days a week as of May 17, 2025
- Located at Vansittart Avenue Park, between Drew St. and Ingersoll Ave.
- Portable washroom will be available during splash pad hours.
Cowan Fields Splash Pad
- Open 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. seven days a week as of May 17, 2025
- Located at Cowan Fields, 1495 Devonshire Ave.
- Washrooms will be available during splash pad hours.
Spray & Play Wading Pool - PERMANENTLY CLOSED
Unfortunately, the wading pool at Southside Aquatic Centre had reached the end of its lifecycle and was not able to stay open safely. Various studies completed over the past 10+ years recommended replacing the wading pool with the new Finkle Street splash pad.
