Woodstock Museum 75th Anniversary
Join the Woodstock Museum in celebrating all of the people and work involved in creating and maintaining our community museum over the decades with special activities, exhibits and events throughout the year.
New and renewing members will also receive an additional 75 days on all memberships in 2023!
1948 Celebration Tea — Jan. 28 |
Saturday, January 28 at 1pm Join us to celebrate the historical opening of the museum 75 years ago today! Dress to impress like it’s 1948. Raise a cup of tea or coffee to the Woodstock’s Museum many years and enjoy a tasty treat on us! |
Creative Family Day — Feb. 20 |
Monday, February 20 We're continuing our 75th anniversary celebrations with free drop-in activities on Family Day. We will also be celebrating the opening of two new exhibits — Covid Stories and Sikhs in Canada. Visit www.cityofwoodstock.ca/familyday for more Family Day fun happening throughout the city at Cowan Park Sportsplex, Woodstock Art Gallery, Theatre Woodstock, Southside Aquatic Centre and Reeves Community Complex. There will be a free bus shuttle to and from all locations. |
Woodstock Museum NHS: Celebrating 75 Years Exhibit |
January 28 – December 31, 2023 Originally called the Oxford County Museum, the Woodstock Museum first opened to the public on January 28, 1948, on the second floor of the Old Town Hall. In celebration of the museum's 75th anniversary, this exhibit looks back on its history through the lives and contributions of its curators. |
