Map It PA Day

Ages 5 to 12

Explore amazing maps at this fun day camp. Check out old maps, new digital maps, fun maps we’ve created and cool map art from around the world. Make your own personal map, craft, play finding games and get outside to play too!

  • Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Cost: $55 (Members $49.50)

Summer Camp

Join in all the fun this summer with learning, history, games, excursions, special guests and unique themes. Make some friends and try something new! Registration opens Feb. 1 at 10 a.m.

Camp Details

  • Weekdays 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • No extended care. No camp on holiday Mondays.
  • Cost: $200 (Members $180)
July 2 – 5: Fairy Tale Camp (Ages 4 – 6)

Become an enchanted frog, a fairy who grants wishes and so much more as we explore a week of fairy tales. Create your own coat of arms and learn the Knight’s creed. Pick a Princess from the storybook and try fun mythical games.

July 8 – 12: Park Explorer Camp (Ages 7 – 12)

City parks are a great place to discover local nature, creeks, trees and wildlife. Learn about who the park is named for and enjoy your lunch picnic-style. We’ll be bussing to a number of amazing parks in the City and making crafts and playing games at the Museum too.

July 22 – 26: Curators in Training (Ages 13 – 16)

Want to know what a job in the museum field is like? This week, you’ll help put together a mini-display, help research and prepare an upcoming Woodstock Museum exhibit, find artifacts in the vault and guide a museum tour. We’ll have amazing local guests and a special exhibit opening event wrap party.

July 29 – Aug. 2: Curators in Training Jr. (Ages 7 – 12)

Get behind the scenes at the Museum! We’ll put together a mini display, help prepare an upcoming Woodstock Museum exhibit, find artifacts in the vault and guide a museum tour. Meet amazing local guests, play games and make crafts. A special exhibit opening wrap party will end the week.

Aug. 6 – 9: Artifact Explorers (Ages 6 – 9)

Hey super sleuths! Can you find out who someone was from the past, by looking at old things? Discover artifacts and how they were used. Try old tools like a hand-mixer, or old-fashioned toys that kids played with before batteries were invented. We’ll play games inside and outside and make interesting crafts too.

Aug. 12 – 16: Heritage Craft Camp (Ages 10 – 14)

Learn arts and crafts techniques of long ago in this fun interactive week. You can make a bracelet, learn to crochet, try old fashioned fabric dyeing, use a knitting loom, fold up some origami and sew much more! We’ll play outdoors and have active games, as well as develop your creative side.

Aug. 19 – 23: City Scavenger Hunt Camp (Ages 7 – 12)

Try the fun challenges we’ve got for you this week! Solve the clues of the scavenger hunt, play trivia games, explore the City by foot and by bus, and make your own camper challenges. Can you find it, craft it, win it?
