Physics Matters for Families

Tuesday, May 27
4 – 5 p.m. and 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Join us for an hour of guided science good times with your family at the Woodstock Museum. Explore the hands-on Physics Matters exhibit and try out other group science activities. Chose one of the times to attend. All family members to register online. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Day Camps

Camps run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Dates for PA Days may be different depending on your child's school or school board. Please ensure your child has the day off before registering.

 May 30: Grown in Canada Day Camp

Do you know which foods are grown in Canada and which foods aren’t? Join us as we visit the market, plant our own vegetables, make Canadiana crafts and play fun Canadian games too. Please ensure your child has this day off school before booking.

Campers will set off on an exciting adventure featuring scavenger hunts, mystery challenges, and engaging puzzles. They’ll enhance their observation skills while uncovering clues and enjoying a day full of exploration and excitement! Please ensure your child has this day off school before booking.

Camps run on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Extended care is not available.

July 2 – 4: Dino Camp (Ages 4 – 6)

If you dig Dinosaurs, this week of fun at the Museum is for you. Bones & fossils can tell you what types of dinosaurs lived long ago, what they ate and how they got around. Use our collection of fossils to delve into the past with fun games, and Dino crafts.

July 7 – 11: Totally Jurassic Camp (Ages 6 – 12)

What extinct creatures roamed the Jurassic period? Check out ancient fossils, learn to draw Jurassic dinos and what an archaeological dig site is really like. Explore a hands-on science exhibit, make cool crafts, experiments and have fun with friends.

 Aug. 5 – 8: Villain Con Camp (Ages 7 – 12)

This hilarious camp will give the villains of books and movies the chance to be the star. Superheroes need Super Villains, so if you’ve felt a kinship with Darth Vader, this week is for you. We’ll dress up like Captain Hook or the Evil Queen from Snow White and see if the bad guys change their ways by the end of the story.

 Aug. 11 – 15: Culture Camp with the Woodstock Art Gallery (Ages 6 – 12)

Please Note: Drop off and pick-up will both be at the Woodstock Art Gallery, 449 Dundas St.

This two-in-one summer camp is designed to provide a full week of fun and inspiring hands-on projects, field trips, and collaborative activities! Discover the spectacular world of science that shapes our everyday lives with hands-on experiments at the Woodstock Museum. Learn about topics such as matter, force, motion, light, sound, structures and simple machines through interactive components. Experience the transformative power of art through mindful creative practices at the Woodstock Art Gallery. Find inspiration during guided gallery tours and local field trips and explore numerous artistic techniques, media, tools, and equipment through hands-on and collaborative art lessons in our fully equipped art studio. Campers will spend the morning at the Woodstock Art Gallery and the afternoon at the Woodstock Museum.

 Aug. 18 – 22: Fairy Tale Camp (Ages 4 – 6)

Become an enchanted frog, a fairy who grants wishes and so much more as we explore a week of fairy tales. Create your own coat of arms and learn the Knights creed. Pick a Princess from the storybook and try fun mythical games.
