Museum Summer Camp Open House

Already signed up for the Woodstock Museum’s summer camp? Museum - Holiday Hootenanny

Museum - Retro Toys & Games Week 

Try out old fashioned toys and games at the Woodstock Museum! Play the way people did in the past with Crokinole, checkers, snakes and ladders and spinning tops. Make your own toy to bring home, get crafty with loom knitting, build with Lincoln Logs, and learn what a ‘fortnite’ really is!

Museum – King of the Jungle  

The Lion King is back! Campers will learn about African animals throughout the week as well as the 25th anniversary of the musical movie. Create Simba approved lion crafts, play giraffe games and elephant trivia. We’ll go on our very own safari with staff when we visit African Lion Safari! Specialty camp fee.

Museum - Cats vs. Dogs

What pet do you prefer? Famous feline Garfield, Grumpy Cat, the Cat in the Hat will be followed by Scooby-doo, or Chase, Marshall and Skye. We’ll delve into the secret life of pets, how breeds of pets differ and we won’t leave out those guinea pig, parakeet, and gecko pet fans! Having pets is not required!

Museum - Junior Curator Camp 

Experience a white glove tour of the artifact storage area at the Woodstock Museum and explore the stories behind remarkable artifacts, photos and parts of our history. Use the database to create a mini exhibit and learn unique behind the scenes skills to be junior curators for the week!

Museum - One Day Culture Camp 

Enjoy a visit to all the City’s cultural sites in one day! The Museum is our home base to learn and play games, a live theatre performance is included in the price for the day and we’ll have art appreciation and creation at the Gallery too. So many great cultural venues all a short walk away!

Payment is due at time of registration. Places are limited and usually sell out quickly.

Children need to bring their lunch and indoor shoes.

For summer camps we spend a lot of time outdoors, so your child should come prepared to play outside with sunscreen already on. 

Depending on the age range or activity the staff to camper ratio is between 1:8 to 1:5. Each session will include visitors, games, activities and crafts that are appropriate to the theme of the week.
