Formerly Art in the Park, Cultural Canvas is a community art gathering where everyone is welcome to come together to enjoy a variety of arts, culture and community!

Cultural Canvas will showcase live entertainment from a variety of musical genres, multi-cultural dancing workshops, interactive art activities, music lessons, local author readings, local artists selling one of a kind items, artisan displays, food, a beverage garden and more!

 Schedule 

Main Stage 

2 p.m. Local Author Reading, Elaine Cougler 
2:30 p.m. Bhangra Dance 
3 p.m. Golden Harps Steel Orchestra brings the music of the Caribbean, with the sounds of the pan.
4 p.m. Invoketress Belly Dancing
5 p.m. 
The Imbayakunas, South American traditional music with an infusion of Latin and European sounds. 
6:30 p.m. Tell It To Sweeney, a fun and fresh take on dance music, performed through a live band. 
8 p.m. André Bisson, performing flavour of original Rhythm & Blues, Soul 

Art Battle, Live Art Tournament 

Eight Art Battle Champion Level artists, competing in a live painting performance. 
4:30 p.m. 1st Round 
6 p.m. 2nd Round 
7:30 p.m. 3rd Round 
One winner will be determined by live audience votes. 

Workshops 

Ukulele Workshops
Join us to learn how to play the ukulele. All ages and skill level welcome!
2:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m. & 7 p.m. 
*Only 20 ukuleles are available per workshop. Bring your own if you are able.   

Kind-heARTed Studios Paint & Pour 
Let's get creative with Paint & Pour!
2 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m. & 5:30 p.m. 

*No pre-registration required. A maximum of 30 people can be accommodated in each workshop.

2 p.m. “Don’t Smile” Historic Photography Exhibition
2:30 p.m. Curator Talk: How to Care for Photographic Images with Adam Pollard, Curator of Collections
1 - 9 p.m. PRIDE Escape Room *One hour time slots. $20/person. Ages 14+

Artist Alley will showcase and embrace talented artists from our community and beyond. The artists and artisans on-site will be selling a variety of beautiful art and items for you to enjoy.
