April Wine

April Wine is a Canadian rock band formed in 1969. Originally based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the band enjoyed international success in the 1970s and 1980s, releasing more than 20 albums since 1971.

Best known for their international top 40 hit ‘Just Between You And Me’, an iconic power ballad that made them the very first Canadian band on MTV, April Wine went on to release over twenty albums and have received a
combined total of 11 Juno Award nominations in the Group Of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Selling Single categories.
In 2009, April Wine was inducted into the Canadian Music

Spoons

Formed in 1980, Gordon Deppe and Sandy Horne would soon make Spoons a different kind of household word. They would help define the sound of pop and new wave in the 80s with hits including Nova Heart, Romantic Traffic, Old Emotions and Tell No Lies. Their album Arias & Symphonies would go on to be named one of the 20 Most Influential Albums of The 80s by The Chart Magazine and their song Nova Heart was included in Bob Mersereau's book The Top 100 Canadian Singles. Not bad for a bunch of kids from Burlington, Ontario.

With the commercial radio success that followed the band opened for such iconic 80s acts as The Police, Culture Club and Simple Minds. A little TV show called MuchMusic had also just been launched and the young Spoons were tailor-made for a whole new video-driven generation. In fact, the very first episode of the show began with, "Welcome to MuchMusic. Coming up we have brand new videos by Duran Duran, Howard Jones and the Spoons." A new era was launched with those words.
