Recreation Advisory
Purpose
The purpose of the Recreation Advisory Committee is to make recommendations:
- Relating to the status of programs and their relationship to community needs
- Regarding the education of the community on recreational issues
- To increase the public awareness and understanding of recreational issues within the city
- Relating to capital projects
The committee also meets with groups, organizations and individuals interested or involved in industrial, commercial or residential recreation activities to determine their concerns or areas of interest.

If you have an issue or concern, contact us. We will respond within 7 days of receiving your concern.
Appointments
Members of the committee remain on the committee for the duration of the current council term of office.

Meetings
The Recreation Advisory committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at Southgate Centre in the board room at 6:00pm excluding July and August. Please contact the staff representative listed at the bottom of this page or the Council representative to confirm dates and receive additional information.

City of Woodstock residents can make a difference in the community by becoming a volunteer member of a Board or Committee. Advisory Board and Committee members provide information to City Council, which contributes to the development of policies, programs and initiatives.
