Museum Advisory
Purpose
The purpose of the Museum Advisory Committee is to;
- Make recommendations relating to Museum objectives, strategic planning and policies;
- Make recommendations relating to the collection of works of artifacts;
- Make recommendations relating to the status of programs and their relationship to community needs;
- Make recommendations relating to capital projects;
- Make recommendations to increase public awareness and understanding of the Museum's purpose and role;

Members of the committee remain on the committee for the duration of the current council term of office.

Meetings
The Woodstock Museum Advisory Committee meets six times a year at the Woodstock Museum on a rotating schedule depending on when members are available to meet. The Committee does not meet in the months of July, August and December. Please contact the staff representative listed at the bottom of this page or the Council representative to confirm dates and receive additional information.
Applying for a Board or Committee Position
City of Woodstock residents can make a difference in the community by becoming a volunteer member of a Board or Committee. Advisory Board and Committee members provide information to City Council, which contributes to the development of policies, programs and initiatives. Your expertise, enthusiasm and pride can make all the difference.
