Museum Advisory



The purpose of the Museum Advisory Committee is to;

  • Make recommendations relating to Museum objectives, strategic planning and policies;
  • Make recommendations relating to the collection of works of artifacts;
  • Make recommendations relating to the status of programs and their relationship to community needs;
  • Make recommendations relating to capital projects;
  • Make recommendations to increase public awareness and understanding of the Museum's purpose and role;

If you have an issue or concern, contact the Manager of Culture (contact information at bottom of page). We will respond within 7 days of receiving your concern.


Members of the committee remain on the committee for the duration of the council term of office December 1, 2014 - November 30, 2018.

Committee meetings are held at Woodstock Museum. The committee meets once every 2 months at a regular date and time mutually agreed upon by a majority of the members.

Applying for a Board or Committee Position

City of Woodstock residents can make a difference in the community by becoming a volunteer member of a Board or Committee.  Advisory Board and Committee members provide information to City Council, which contributes to the development of policies, programs and initiatives. Your expertise, enthusiasm and pride can make all the difference.

  • Notices are placed on the City Website or in the What's on Woodstock magazine when positions become available. 

Current Opportunities

We are no longer accepting applications for boards and committees.  The new term commenced  December 1, 2018 and will expire on November 14, 2022.
