2026 Election Workers
Apply to be an Election Worker
Are you interested in supporting the City’s 2026 Municipal Election? Please submit an application and we will contact you if you are selected for a role. The City will not begin reviewing applications until end of August 2026.
Please note the following:
- All applicants who are selected for a position will be required to attend mandatory (paid) training in early October 2026.
- All personal information you provide will be kept on file until Dec. 31, 2026.
- For tax purposes, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requires the issuance of a T4A slip when total payments to an individual are $500 or more. This means that, as an election worker, if you receive more than $500 in compensation for your services, the City of Woodstock will issue you a T4A slip. If your total earnings are expected to exceed $500, you will be required to provide your Social Insurance Number (SIN) during your training session. The City does not require this information at this stage of the application process.
- To be eligible, you must be at least 16 years of age, legally entitled to work in Canada and have access to a personal email address that is not shared.
